envyが2020年2月5日にリリース予定の7thフル・アルバム『The Fallen Crimson』より、「A step in the morning glow」の先行配信を各サイトにてスタートさせた。
　
本楽曲は先日リリースが発表されたenvyの5年ぶりの7thフル・アルバム『The Fallen Crimson』のラストを飾るナンバー。日本を代表し世界に影響を与え続けてきたポスト・ハードコアの雄が5年の時を経てついにリリースするアルバムを象徴するかのように、これまでのenvyを系譜しつつも新たなスタイルの定義を確立した楽曲となっている。
